“Being a part of this festival makes me happy because it means something I created outside of Detroit, Michigan is being seen over eleven thousand miles away. I’m an actor, playwright, and casting director. Worked on films you may have seen like Gran Torino or Batman vs Superman. I came to filmmaking from a playwrighting background. First, I want to apologize for the assholeryness that seems to be ruling things here. I hope it’s not contagious. My feelings about Australia are similar to how I feel about Canada and Canadians, it’s what we should strive to be more like. A little tidbit, Detroit is the only place that is actually north of Canada. I’m a Baha’i, and the fact that humor crosses all economic, gender, religious, ethnic, and national lines confirms my belief of 'unity in diversity' and that 'the earth is but one country and mankind its citizens.’ So, I love being a very small part of a larger creative process. GO AUSTRALIA.”
