"This film could have been written by Raymond Chandler if he was alive now it has been called hipster noir. The characters live in the suburb of LA they are into vinyl and Nintendo and buy Playboy rather than use the internet.
The premise of this film is that one-night Sam finds this attractive woman swimming in his apartment pool next day she is missing. This could be the plot to any of the Chandler novel or screen play. Next he goes in search of the woman and meets any number of quirky people. As with a Chandler novel we don’t get all the answers. Think of The Big Sleep, The Long Goodbye or Farewell My Lovely. The amusing take on the Detective Film Noir after 1945 should be see.
It is a good job of directing from David Robert Mitchell."
